Georgia football to host 5-star edge Isaiah Gibson on a third visit
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Just a few days after de-committing from the USC Trojans, five-star edge Isaiah Gibson is heading to Athens for a third and official visit, according to Dawgs Central's Graham Coffey

Gibson had been verbally committed to USC since March before flipping his decision.

Coffey noted that Gibbson was originally slated to visit Oklahoma this weekend, but changed his plans.

Gibson, 6-foot-3 and 263 pounds, enters his senior year at Warner Robins High School in Georgia where he logged a team-high 17 sacks and 55 tackles for loss.

He is considered the second-best edge rusher in the 2025 recruiting class, the No. 27 overall prospect and the No. 7 ranked player in the Peach State, per On3.

If the Bulldogs can score a commit from Gibson, then that will give them three five-star prospects in their 2025 recruiting class after recently landing commits from five-star linebacker Zayden Walker and five-star tight end Elyiss Williams

It helps that Gibson has already developed a close relationship with Georgia outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe.

"I mostly got to talk to coach Uzo-Diribe," Gibson told Sports IS' Brooks Austin in May.  "So we always have good conversations. I mean, like we are like brothers. We talk about llke every other day. We have a good relationship. So yeah, I've talked to him mostly outside of Coach Schumann."

The Bulldogs came away with the No. 1 recruiting class in 2024 and they're on their way to doing the same this year, or at least coming very close.
