A top 100 Florida recruit in the 2026 class has dreams of playing college football in the SEC. What that means for a few SEC programs, though, is battling against top conference rivals for the prospect.
That's what's happening for the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators with offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell. According to Rival's John Garcia Jr., the Bulldogs are gaining ground on the Gators in Campbell's recruitment.
"For the bulk of the recruiting process for the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood standout offensive lineman, it looked like the Florida Gators would most likely be the next stop," wrote Garcia on Monday.
"Campbell spent the weekend in Athens, however, learning more about Georgia football and coming out of the official visit the gap at the top of his list has closed."
The Bulldogs, though, aren't just gaining ground on the Gators.
"They are tied right now, both equally as high," Campbell told Rivals on Monday.
The offensive tackle added his recent visit to Georgia was "amazing."
"The best part of the visit was officially meeting Coach Smart. The talk went amazing and he told me and showed me that they really, really want me," said Campbell.

Standing at 6-foot-8 and 295 pounds, Campbell is one of the bigger recruits in the 2026 class. The prospect attends high school at Lakewood in St. Petersburg, Florida.
According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Campbell is the No. 49 offensive tackle and No. 85 Florida recruit in the 2026 class. Campbell is also the No. 591 overall prospect.
