New Georgia Tech head coach Damon Stoudamire is wasting no time in trying to look at talent in the transfer portal.
According to the Portal Report, Georgia Tech has reached out to Merrimack transfer Jordan Minor, who is the reigning Co-NEC player of the year and defensive player of the year.
That is a lengthy list of teams involved and while Georgia Tech is reportedly interested, it is unknown right now how much interest Minor has in Stoudamire and Georgia Tech or if he is considering a visit. It seems to be in the early stages of the recruitment of one of the top players in the portal
Minor is one of the top transfers available in the portal right now and 247Sports has him ranked as the 13th-best transfer in the portal.
Georgia Tech is losing a big-time contributor in Ja'von Franklin, who is out of eligibility and four-star guard Blue Cain was released from his NLI, leaving the Yellow Jackets with no signees for their recruiting class.
Minor averaged 17.4 PPG, 9.4 RPG, and 2.3 APG last season for Merrimack.
