It’s a Titan takeover in London as Warner Bros. unleashes two legendary monsters on England’s capital.
Thankfully, they’re only models, built to promote the impending release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire into cinemas 29 March, 2024. But they’re almost as big as the ‘real thing’.
Godzilla lurks near Tower Bridge in London’s Thames river, with his massive head and tail adorned with glowing pink spikes, seemingly charging up a devastating radioactive attack.
Kong, meanwhile, has been drawn to London’s tourist-friendly Southbank - well, his giant hand, anyway. It appears to be bursting from the ground, crushing one of London’s iconic red phone boxes with his new-fangled hydraulic gauntlet.
The final MonsterVerse touch is to London’s OXO tower, whose letters now read ‘GXK’. The installation won’t last long, though - by this evening, the Titans will have quietly disappeared.
There won’t be anything quiet about Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire though. By now the collateral damage costs must be in the billions.
