The Green Bay Packers are hopeful that they have surrounded quarterback Jordan Love with enough weapons to get the offense going in the 2025 NFL season.
In 2024, the Packers ranked eighth in the league with an average of 26.1 points per game and seventh with 366.7 total yards generated per contest. However, that level of success was mostly driven by their rushing attack, which was third in the NFL with a 50.69 percent usage rate. The passing offense, on the other hand, was 14th with 222.1 yards per outing.
Still, many eyes are on Love, who missed a couple of games last season due to an early-season injury, leaving the Packers to adjust according to the strengths of backup QB Malik Willis.
And while many are focused on the Packers’ talented group of wide receivers that got even more interesting with the addition of rookie wideout Matthew Golden, tight end Tucker Kraft can’t be overlooked either.
One fan wrote to the Packers website, wondering if Kraft could reach 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2025.
Here’s editor Mike Spofford’s response:
Robert Tonyan had 11 TD catches in 2020. He was the most recent with double-digit scores. The Packers have never had a tight end reach 1,000 yards in a season. Paul Coffman’s 813 yards in 1983 is the franchise record for the position.
Kraft seems like a good bet to end that particular drought for the Packers franchise. After recording 355 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 31 receptions and 40 targets in 2022, his rookie season in the league, Kraft gathered 707 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 50 catches and 70 targets in 2024.
