'He Might Drop 200 Points': Steph Curry Referenced In Kendrick Lamar’s Spat With Drake By Kanye West

If Golden State Warriors star player Steph Curry were a rapper, he would be Drake, and he would definitely bounce back against his feud with Kendrick Lamar, despite looking to be on the losing side for now. At least that was the analogy of rapper and music producer Kanye West when he talked about the ongoing feud between the two rappers.

In an interview during the recently concluded Grammy Awards, Kanye West was asked about his take on the feud between Lamar and Drake. He likened the latter to Steph Curry. While he admitted that Drake may look like he is in a pinch right now, he may drop huge points one day, in true Steph Curry fashion.

“For now,” Kanye said, when asked if he thinks that Lamar has won over Drake. “You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. He might drop 200 points in one song.”

Kendrick Lamar and Drake had a hot exchange of diss tracks, with Lamar dropping the track “Not Like Us” as the final entry to the exchange. The song became an instant hit and gained the attention of a lot of celebrities, even NBA stars like Russel Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan.

Drake is yet to drop a response to “Not Like Us.” instead, the rapper filed a lawsuit against Kendrick Lamar and Universal Music Group, alleging defamation over the song.

NBA stars have shown support during the feud between the two rappers. While the likes of Westbrook, DeRozan, and LeBron James went on stage with Lamar, other stars like Kevin Durant and Karl-Anthony Towns supported Drake. Steph Curry was also once spotted sharing a hug with Drake before a Warriors game.

Steph Curry on GSW Trade: “I Want to Win”

It is no news that the Golden State Warriors are not having their best season right now. They have glaring offensive woes, and the team has often been criticized to be relying too much on star player Steph Curry.

“That’s not for me to make those decisions,” Curry said when asked if he wants to see a trade happen. “I want to win, so whatever it means to do that.”

“We have conversations all the time. I want to win. Again, that’s not my job. I’m not a coach, I’m not a GM, I’m not an owner. It’s pretty clear where I stand on trying to make whatever necessary adjustments there are to win.”

So far this season, Steph Curry averages 22.1; points per game, shoots 44% from the field, and 40.2% from beyond the arc.
