The four-star tight end kept it brief, but the message was clear.

Highly touted 2026 tight end prospect Mack Sutter is heading to Columbus, Ohio for an official visit next week.

"OV this coming weekend," wrote Sutter on X

The prospect included the Buckeyes official account handle in the post. Sutter also had two nut emojis and an "OH" hashtag.

Sutter is the No. 1 2026 recruit from Illinois according to 247 Sports and ESPN. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, Sutter is also the No. 6 tight end and No. 81 overall prospect in the recruiting class based on the 247 sports composite rankings.

Sutter has received dozens of offers. Most notably, the four-star prospect got an offer from the Illinois Fighting Illini, Ole Miss Rebels, Penn State Nittany Lions and Alabama Crimson Tide in addition to the Buckeyes.

Sutter has already visited Illinois and Ole Miss. The tight end will visit Penn State and Alabama after Ohio State.

Ohio State has already received a verbal commitment from tight end Corbyn Fordham in the 2026 recruiting class. But that's not likely to stop the program from pushing hard for Sutter.

Fordham is a three-star recruit and not ranked nationally according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Meanwhile, Sutter is considered a consensus top 10 tight end in the class.

The Buckeyes have the No. 3-ranked recruiting class for 2026 based on several different rankings. According to the 247 Sports rankings, only the USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish have higher ranked classes.

Sutter will play his senior year of high school at Dunlap, Illinois.
