The weather situation across the country has been quite the buzz. The snow and ice in Dallas, Texas have caused fans to have difficulties getting to the city in time for the Cotton Bowl on Friday at AT&T Stadium.

However, a snowstorm began in Georgia, and a winter storm warning was in effect starting at 5 a.m. ET on Friday and ending on Saturday at 7 a.m. ET, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The University of Georgia even sent a message on Thursday saying there the campus will be closed with "modified operations" due to the weather.

As such, Sanford Stadium, the home of the Georgia Bulldogs football team, was seen covered in snow on Friday morning.

Sanford Stadium has long been an iconic venue in college football and was built in 1929, almost 100 years ago.

The stadium is named after Dr. Steadman Vincent Sanford, and the capacity of the stadium is 92,746, the 9th biggest in college football per USA Today.

The Georgia football account on X also posted some photos a bit later of the stadium covered in snow.

With No. 2 seed Georgia out of the College Football Playoff following a loss to No. 7  Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, nobody has to worry about trying to practice in these conditions.

On the other hand, the CFP title game is set to be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on January 20, although that is an indoor stadium.

On top of that, Atlanta's 10-day forecast from The Weather Channel shows snow on Friday only, which should help ease the minds of fans making their way to the city for the title game.
