How to Surf Cloudbreak ... For Only $25

"I knew I was getting myself into something special," remembers Bruce Irons of his epic 2011 Cloudbreak tube.

Wrangled on a 10'1" affectionately dubbed the Pink Pony, "It was just beautiful," Bruce continues. "You know how at Teahupoo you think you're way back in there, but then when you look at the pictures it doesn't look that deep. This was different. A 10-foot board in a barrel like that, that's just dangerous. My brother was riding on my shoulder, for sure."

In a week's time the surf world's collective attention will be on Cloudbreak as the Lexus WSL Finals land in Fiji. Ten of the best surfers in the world battling for world titles under the South Pacific sun, it's a glorious thing.

The early days of the waiting period start small, but don't sleep on the start of September. It looks like there's a bump out there. And for all those suffering from FOMO, no worries, we got you. The Surf Industry Members Association (SIMA) is raising money for their Environmental Fund and is raffling off a trip for two for a week at Tavarua. Raffle tickets start at $25 ... and if the trade winds blow your way you can turn it into a $10,000 surf trip.

The package includes seven nights in one of Tavarua’s bungalows, access to all the SUPs, soft tops, snorkels and other toys, three meals a day, boats to Cloudbreak and Restaurants, boat transfers and $2,000 towards airfare and travel expenses.

More info and raffle tickets available here. We'll see you in Fiji!
