Tigres and Monterrey will clash in the Liga MX quarterfinals, in another edition of the Regio derby. The Rayados won 2-1 in the first meeting and will aim to close the round tonight.

Monterrey finished the regular season in the fourth spot of the standings with 32 points, ending a four-game winless streak on the last matchday of the regular season, when they defeated Necaxa 5-2.

The UANL side ended in fifth place in the Mexican Clausura and wants to overcome the 1-2 deficit playing as the visiting team.

Both teams had faced each other on April 13 in a derby that ended 3-3 at Monterrey’s field. Luis Romo, Gerardo Arteaga, and Gonzalo Berterame scored for the Rayados, while Juan Brunetta (2) and Fernando Gorriarán did so for the Tigres.
