National teams are in the decisive phase of the 2023 U-20 World Cup, where only eight teams aim to reach the next round.
The Asian side entered this round after securing a 3-2 victory against Ecuador in the Round of 16. They concluded the group stage with five points, following a 3-2 victory against France and two draws against Honduras and Gambia. The Koreans are eager to do everything possible to replicate the achievement they accomplished in the 2019 edition, where they reached the finals of the tournament.
In the Round of 16, the Africans caused one of the biggest upsets in the tournament by defeating the hosts, Argentina, with a 2-0 scoreline. The Super Eagles are in excellent form, having finished the group stage in the third position of Group D with 6 points. They secured two victories against the Dominican Republic and Brazil, and suffered a defeat against Italy.
