Philadelphia Eagles fans have to give general manager Howie Roseman a lot of credit, he's got a good pulse on the fan base and knows all the issues on the roster.
It has been an intense last week for Roseman on trades, as he has made four total, with three of them coming on Sunday. Here are all the players he has acquired in those trades:
What do all those guys have in common? They address the team's positions of need. Tanner McKee's finger injury and Kyle McCord's slow development forced the Eagles' hand in acquiring another veteran quarterback, like Howell. Metchie's timing on joining the team was perfect, as a couple of days later, the Eagles lost Johnny Wilson for the season. Johnson is familiar with the offense and can address the offensive line's depth issues.
So in total, five trades have been made by Roseman since training camp began as fans need to include cornerback Jakorian Bennett and the Las Vegas Raiders' trade to that. All great moves that help the team, but fans know better than to think Roseman is done working the phones. At least one more position needs to be addressed.
Sports Illustrated Eagles reporter John McMullen predicted on X the next trade that is going to be made by the team. McMullen likes Roseman going after an edge rusher as the next logical move.
Edge rusher is the next logical domino for #Eagles' GM Howie Roseman.

This absolutely makes a lot of sense since this is a position that even Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has specfically called out as having concerns. Fangio has been wanting one of the backups behind Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt to step up and take control, but that hasn't really happened.
Josh Uche is the standout of the group and will find his way into the rotation. Azeez Ojulari has performed well in the last two weeks, but he has not been nearly as consistent in his play. Another notable name is Patrick Johnson, who has performed well in the last two preseason games and may be in the conversation to make the roster.
Otherwise, it's been pretty lackluster for the Eagles and Roseman knows he needs to address it. So, how will he do that? Should Eagles fans say it? Bengals' Trey Hendrickson or Cowboys' Micah Parsons anyone?
Okay, Parsons is never going to happen unless he is straight up a free agent. Hendrickson is a little more realistic, but it would come at a heavy cost with draft assets and financial side so probably still won't happen.
The Eagles will have to look around for a good veteran edge rusher who comes cheap which is Roseman's specialty. He has options and it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see it happen. Who will it be? That's an interesting questions Eagles fans hope to have answered in the next two days.
