'Hungry' Trevon Diggs Edging Closer To Cowboys Return

Dallas Cowboys All-Pro corner Trevon Diggs is getting closer to a return, and it might be sooner rather than later.

Having been in rehab since having surgery last season to repair cartilage issues in his knee, Trevon has been working his tail off in a bid to beat the recovery timeline.

And he might just be doing that.

After the Cowboys' final preseason game, a 31-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Diggs didn't completely shut down the idea of being on the field in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, which is under two weeks away.

"Maybe, maybe not,"" Diggs said. ... and that should be taken as a positive.

Given that most thought Trevon wouldn't be sighted weeks into the season, the fact that he's feeling the way he is, is a good sign for the Cowboys, who had issues at corner.

Diggs says he feels "way better than I should feel" but stated that practice will be where he gets a true indicator of where he is in his recovery.

"I want to practice a lot," Diggs added. "I want to get as much practice as possible, get the game reps in, get the live reps in. I haven't practiced in a while, so I feel the practice will tell a lot more where I am."

Having not played football since December of last year, it is only natural for Diggs to be itching to get back on the field, with the All-Pro "very hungry" to suit up, and if it is against the Eagles, we have to wonder how "football fit" he'll be.

Still, having No. 7 on the field in any capacity puts minds at relative ease when it comes to the Cowboys secondary.

Much was made of Trevon's recovery process this offseason, but he's slowly proving to the Dallas front office that he was right in the avenue he took.
