The Bengals got a hungry, veteran player in South Carolina linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
The 25-year-old described his game with a few eating-related terms.
"I would describe my game as nasty," Knight said. "I like to say when I'm going out there on the field, I like to hunt because if I don't hunt my family doesn't eat. So I become the hunter out there to my family and put the helmet on me and tell me that, 'Okay, now I have to go hunt,' and I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make sure we come back with a win to make sure my family and everybody else (eats). Cincinnati is family now, make sure that we all eat."
Knight posted a career-best 82.5 Pro Football Focus grade on 526 snaps with the Gamecocks last season. NFL.com describes him as a player similar to Germaine Pratt, who is a strong candidate to play for a different team this coming season.
Kinght could be asked to lineup at multiple spots along the front seven after accumulating 57 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles last season.
