Tuesday evening’s reports claim that Super League Greece outfit Panathinaikos have recently lodged an enquiry with Inter regarding unwanted centre-forward Mehdi Taremi.
The Nerazzurri are still looking to offload Taremi after an underwhelming first season in Serie A, which brought one goal and two assists from 26 top flight appearances.
With Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram still firm favourites under Cristian Chivu, plus the addition of Ange-Yoan Bonny and returning loanee Pio Esposito, Taremi is not expected to be handed too many opportunities should he stay in San Siro this season.
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, there has recently been an enquiry from Greek side Panathinaikos, but as things stand, official negotiations have not yet begun for the Iran international.
The 33-year-old had joined Inter on a free transfer at the beginning of the summer transfer window in 2024, following a productive four years with FC Porto, where he a goal every other game across all competitions with a tally of 91 from 182 outings.
He remains under contract with the Nerazzurri until the summer of 2027.
