Inter Milan will have to “regain their certainties” in Serie A three months after an infamous 2-2 draw with Lazio.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are just a day away from returning to Serie A action.
Tomorrow, the Nerazzurri take on Torino in their first match of the league campaign.
The last time that Inter played in Serie A was against Como. But the penultimate match of last season was much more significant.
Inter had led twice against Lazio. However, they succumbed to a late equalizer in a match that saw them squander their final opportunity to overtake Napoli at the top of the table.
In the meantime, a lot has changed at Inter Milan.
Most notable, Simone Inzaghi left as coach of the Nerazzurri. Cristian Chivu arrived to replace him.
Then, there has been a raft of notable summer signings.
Tuttosport argue that the match against Lazio is a demon that Inter must exorcise.
That 2-2 draw summed up a certain feeling that Inter were unable to hold onto leads or control matches in Serie A.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri must re-establish such “certainties” in the season to come.
