Is Instagram down right now? Yes, on the morning of June 12, 2026, there was a spike in reports of Instagram being down, with some users reporting they just get a blank page when they go to the popular social media platform.

In fact, that's when happened when Men's Journal tried to go on Instagram.

A good site to check out Instagram outages is called Down Detector. "User reports show problems with Instagram," the site reported on June 12. People also reported that Instagram was down on other social media platforms.

Instagram Is Down? Yes, Users Say

Daily Mail also reported that Instagram was down, saying that users are unable to send DMS or post stories.

There are also widespread reports that Meta's Facebook platform is also down. "Is instagram down or have i been h*cked i can’t log in," a user wrote on X.

"Facebook and Instagram are having massive system wide issues. Looks like they are completely down. I don’t think I have ever see it go down this completely before. You did not get banned or hacked. It’s just down," wrote another X user.

Wrote Grok, "It looks like Instagram (along with Facebook, Messenger, and Threads) is having a widespread outage right now. Reports of login failures and inaccessibility started surging about 30 minutes ago across many countries. This is almost certainly a technical issue on Meta's end.
