PSV are deciding whether or not to make an official offer for Inter Milan’s Mehdi Taremi while Lille are also keen.
This according to Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto, via FCInter1908.
It has seemed inevitable for months that striker Mehdi Taremi would leave Inter this summer.
The Iranian is not a part of the plans under Cristian Chivu.
However, so far there has not been a decisive move by any club to sign the Iranian.
The likes of Botafogo and Flamengo reportedly tried to bring Taremi to Brazil. However, he rejected them, preferring to stay in Europe.
Meanwhile, there has been interest in Taremi from the Premier League. Both Leeds United and Fulham have reportedly targeted the 33-year-old.
Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto made clear that “Taremi is out of Inter’s sporting plans.”
“Inter are still waiting for an official offer for Taremi,” he added. “The player’s agents are working to try and find a solution for him.”
Moretto then noted that “PSV are in talks with Taremi’s entourage.”
“Now, PSV are evaluating internally, including with their coach, whether to proceed with an initial official offer.”
“There are contacts regarding Taremi in Holland,” Moretto said.
“And there have been with a few other clubs in the last several hours. Other clubs have inquired with Inter and with Taremi’s entourage about the terms of an exit for the Iranian.”
“One of which is Lille,” Moretto anticipated. “As well as clubs in the Premier League and Turkey.”
