The Kansas City Chiefs have a ton of star power. When you think of them nationally, it's really just Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. But locally, the entire team is pretty well known around Kansas City.
So imagine when guys like Mahomes and Kelce are just out and about in Kansas City. For example, the two of them often go to the other sporting events in the city, because they are part owners of some of the other teams, like the Kansas City Royals, Sporting KC, and KC Current.
And we know Mahomes is a big sports guy, as we see him at the Dallas Mavericks games, Texas Tech games, and other things. And now, he is back at Royals games, but for a special occasion. This time, it's to see one of the biggest stories in the MLB -- top rookie Jac Caglianone making his home debut with the Royals.
He was sitting right in the front row next to the batter's box, and Caglianone noticed him and even embarrassed himself in front of the best QB in the league.

"Really cool. Really cool, to kind of hear the crowd react the way they did. It was a super warm welcome, and I'm thankful for everybody that was a part of it," Caglianone said. "It was pretty cool to see Pat Mahomes there. Yeah, it was great. My second to last AB [at bat], I kind of looked over and smiled, and I was like, 'alright, I got to do something cool.' And then I rolled over."
Kansas City is in a good spot right now when it comes to its two major sports teams. Of course, the Chiefs have the dynasty, and the Royals have maybe the second-best player in baseball in Bobby Witt, behind Ohtani, of course.
Now they have Caglianone, who could turn into a superstar, too, for all we know. Kansas City has to love what they're seeing in their city.
