Jake Paul and Conor McGregor have always been trash-talking each other for a long time. After Thompson’s fight, McGregor participated in a Q&A session on the internet livestream by the online gambling site Duelbits.
‘The Notorious’ being one of the most famous fighters of all time in UFC, and one of the favorite fighters of Dana White, talked about different aspects of Combat Sports, UFC, and Boxing, including the viral upcoming fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. When it came to the performance and character of the ‘Problem Kid’ Jake Paul, McGregor was not so kind.
Conor McGregor took time to tweet his opinion on the fight that will take place on November 15. The match has been criticized due to the vast difference in age between the two fighters, Tyson is 58 years old, while the YouTuber Paul is only 27.
In addition, he also disapproved of the fight regulations which include a fight length of two rounds and the use of 14oz gloves. In an active live stream, the UFC star passionately expressed his views. Conor McGregor said this about the upcoming boxing match. “Mike Tyson, this is your stock. I don’t give a b*****s. They’re wearing 14oz gloves and it’s two-minute rounds. Who gives a b******s?” McGregor also said this about Jake Paul. “I hope Mike rattles the little dope! No one gives a f*ck about him!”
Jake Paul and McGregor have been trading barbs for many years, with Paul attempting to persuade the former UFC champion who was the two-division titleholder into the fight multiple times. The Ohio native Jake Paul will box against the former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson in an eight-round bout on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
But on the other side of the match, Conor McGregor was terminated because he delayed the fight, and Michael Chandler went forward in his career and challenged Tony Ferguson. Conor McGregor now does not have anyone to trash talk against anyone so, he challenged the new Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad. Jake Paul reacted to the decline of Conor McGregor and said that Conor McGegor’s crash out needs to be studied”
Despite all the assumptions and rumors Conor McGregor is still training and is seen in the gym sometimes when he uploads videos on social media, he still has 2 fights left on his UFC contract. After that he’ll go toward boxing, Bare Knuckle Fighting. There might also be a boxing match between Jake Paul and Conor McGregor because that would be the fight that would sell the most. But for now, we know that their rivalry is one of the most viral topics in combat sports which will also be useful if they schedule a fight in the future. Odds are their war of words will not quiet down any time soon.

Despite LSU firing Brian Kelly on Sunday, the program has not yet finalized a plan for the former head coach's buyout, estimated at $53 million. It's unclear how many greenbacks the Tigers will pay. Kelly left Notre Dame in November 2021 to sign a 10-year, $95 million deal with the Tigers. He went 34-14 with LSU before he could finish his fourth season, which equates to approximately $2.97 million per win for Kelly. Per Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry suggested during a news conference on Wednesday that state taxpayers could foot part of the bill for Kelly's buyout. That would be atypical, as most programs fund buyouts via donations. LSU could go to court over Brian Kelly's contract LSU is set to continue paying Kelly in monthly installments of $800,000. However, a long-term solution between Kelly and the program has not been reached, and a case could end up in court. According to Yahoo Sports, LSU noted in its announcement that buyout details would be announced at a later date — quite possibly at the governor's behest, who seems opposed to paying the full fare, even if it means resorting to the legal system. “We may end up in a Louisiana courtroom,” predicted one person, per Yahoo Sports. Landry expressed concern about the contract now-former athletic director Scott Woodward gave Kelly, stating that the next head coach would not receive such a contract. (Woodward has since been fired.) "We're gonna make sure that he's compensated properly, and we're gonna put metrics on it because I'm tired of rewarding failure in this country and then leaving the taxpayers to foot the bill," said Landry. The situation is bad optics for the state of Louisiana and LSU. Any prospective candidate for the Tigers has to wonder whether the program or the state is willing to live up to its word. While college football coaching contracts are spiraling out of control, it's up to the school (and in LSU's case, as a public institution, the state) to make sure those contracts aren't signed in the first place if they cannot honor the details of the agreement.
As the Tennessee Titans are free falling towards another season as one of the NFL's worst teams, they will likely sell off some of their higher priced players before the NFL's Nov. 4 trade deadline. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley tops the list of available players on the trade block even as he deals with a hamstring injury. Ridley's big play ability makes him an attractive option for teams looking to add another wide receiver. Even though he's been experiencing an up and down season so far - Ridley has only 16 receptions for 290 yards, he surpassed 1,000 yards in each of the past two seasons following sitting out 2022 due to being suspended for betting. So assuming Ridley is healthy enough to remain a trade target, here are the teams that should take a chance on the controversial wide out. Pittsburgh Steelers Aaron Rodgers may have stabilized the Steelers' quarterback position, but that doesn't mean the offense is as consistent as it needs to be for Pittsburgh to truly contend in the AFC. Pittsburgh has only exceeded 30 points twice through seven games. Desperate to increase their offensive output, especially with the defense struggling, the Steelers could use more receiver depth behind DK Metcalf. Acquiring Ridley would provide Rodgers another weapon and make the decision to place double coverage on Metcalf more of a risk for opponents. If Ridley can get back to form, he would unlock an extra dimension for a Steelers team that still holds a comfortable lead in the AFC North. New England Patriots One of the surprising results of the season so far, the Patriots are 6-2 and in first place in the AFC East. But if New England truly hopes to make a playoff push, second-year quarterback Drake Maye may need more at his disposal. To this point, Maye has been forced to work without a true deep threat. And while he's been able to methodically move the ball, Ridley would make his life much easier and stretch the field even more. Seattle Seahawks Another first place team who could use another playmaker, the Seattle Seahawks' offense has started to show signs of weakness in recent weeks. Much like the Steelers, the Seahawks have a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October. He's been brilliant with three-straight 100 plus-yard games. However, Seattle has only scored 30 points once in its last four games. Pairing Smith-Njigba with Ridley would make the Seahawks more potent as they approach a stretch of the schedule with pivotal divisional matchups coming up.
The Minnesota Vikings have a question mark at the quarterback position, and they could turn an old friend in Kirk Cousins to help keep their season afloat. After entering the season with 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy under center, Minnesota turned to veteran Carson Wentz after the second-year passer suffered an ankle injury. While McCarthy is back, Wentz is done for the season, and Minnesota could use a veteran passer to provide some competition for their untested starter. With the trade deadline right around the corner, NFL.com’s Kevin Patra believes the Vikings should trade for current Atlanta Falcons backup quarterback Kirk Cousins. While he’s currently in the NFC South, Cousins spent a sizable portion of his career with the Vikings and could be a smart add for the right price. Vikings, Falcons Linked In Kirk Cousins Trade Rumor Kirk Cousins has not justified his contract with the Atlanta Falcons, but the former fourth-round pick looked like a top 10-15 quarterback during his time with the Minnesota Vikings. From 2018 to 2022, the Michigan State product completed 67.9% of his passes for 23,265 yards, 171 touchdowns, and 55 interceptions while competing in one of the league’s more consistently competitive divisions. That version of Cousins may be gone, as the veteran never looked like himself after his 2023 Achilles injury, but he knows how to play in this offense and has an extensive rapport with head coach Kevin O’Connell and superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson. If nothing else, his knowledge of the offense could make him an invaluable resource to a young quarterback like McCarthy. Of course, there is the chance that the Vikings want to start Kirk Cousins in the back half of the season. McCarthy only played two games in 2025, but he looked awful in both of them and probably didn’t need this long to recover from his ankle injury. While it’s too early to give up on the young passer, it can’t hurt to have a Plan B, especially since the Vikings play in a remarkably competitive NFC North. This team needs another veteran quarterback, but is Kirk Cousins the right choice for them? Trade Complications The biggest issue with a potential Kirk Cousins reunion with the Vikings is his contract. The quarterback signed a massive four-year, $180 million deal with the Falcons in the 2024 offseason, and while most of the guaranteed money is already given out, the Vikings would still be taking on a decent financial commitment. Chances are, Atlanta would need to eat a sizable portion of the contract to facilitate a trade. Additionally, Kirk Cousins isn’t good at football anymore. While he was playing some of his best football in 2023, he hasn’t looked the same since suffering his Achilles injury. The 37-year-old had the opportunity to re-establish his value last week, and he fell flat on his face. Filling in for an injured Michael Penix against a bad Miami Dolphins defense, Cousins finished the night completing 21 of his 31 attempts for just 173 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. Put simply, nobody will want to trade for Kirk Cousins and his contract when he looks like a shell of himself. If the Vikings want a veteran quarterback, they’d probably be better off trading for Russell Wilson.
The Penn State Nittany Lions can likely scratch another candidate off their coaching wish list. On Thursday, ESPN "College GameDay" insider Pete Thamel reported Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule has signed a two-year contract extension with the program, which will run through the 2032 season. It includes a $15M buyout this season, which should prevent another school from poaching him. Why Matt Rhule was considered a strong candidate to replace recently fired Penn State HC James Franklin After Penn State fired Franklin on Oct. 12, Rhule was immediately linked to the job. As a teenager, the New York native moved to State College, where he became a walk-on linebacker for the Nittany Lions from 1994-97. He clearly still loves his alma mater. "I love Penn State, met my wife there, my alma mater," Rhule told the media shortly after Franklin was fired. "Fan since I was born, I think probably had a Penn State shirt when I was born. I really love [athletic director] Pat Kraft, and I'm sad to see coach Franklin go." While the AD for the Temple Owls, Kraft gave Rhule his first head-coaching job in 2013. Now that he has signed the extension, he can't turn to his old friend again and must explore other options. Where does Penn State go from here? The list of candidates in Penn State's head-coaching search is shrinking. The Indiana Hoosiers signed HC Curt Cignetti, another potential target, to an eight-year, $11.6M contract on Oct. 16. The Nittany Lions could attempt to court Ole Miss Rebels HC Lane Kiffin, who has his team in the thick of the national championship hunt after a 7-1 start. However, if he does leave Oxford, expect him to stay in the SEC rather than flocking to the Big Ten. Some believe Kiffin may be the next HC of the LSU Tigers and Florida Gators. And for any optimistic Penn State fans thinking they can lure ESPN analyst Nick Saban out of retirement, dream on. The former Alabama Crimson Tide HC has said there's "no way" he's returning to coaching. Don't bank on Penn State (3-4) promoting interim HC Terry Smith, especially after losing to the Iowa Hawkeyes, 25-24, in his first game. Instead, it may target HCs Mike Elko (Texas A M Aggies), Clark Lea (Vanderbilt Commodores) and Jeff Brohm (Louisville Cardinals). Penn State alumni may have welcomed a homecoming for Rhule. Now, it no longer looks like a possibility.
