The New York Giants made two huge additions in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. At No. 3 overall, they brought in elite pass rusher Abdul Carter out of Penn State. Joe Schoen then traded back into the first round to land Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart at pick No. 25.
Both rookies are expected to be huge cornerstones of the future for the Giants.
Dart will have a chance to finally give New York a long-term franchise quarterback. He was the guy that head coach Brian Daboll wanted and the Giants were able to get him.
In a recent quote, Dart spoke out with his thoughts about Carter. His five-word message shows just how excited he is to play with his new teammate.
"Best guy I've played against," Dart said.

Heading into the 2025 NFL season, New York fans will start getting a glimpse at the future. Carter projects to play right away, while Dart may sit for a year behind Russell Wilson.
Throughout his college career, Dart played in six games as a freshman with USC and then finished his final three year at Ole Miss. He played in 45 total games, completing 65.2% of his passes for 11,970 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. Dart also picked up 1,541 yards and scored 14 touchdowns on the ground.
As for Carter, the pass rushing specialist played all three of his college seasons at Penn State. He totaled 172 total tackles, 41 tackles for loss, 23 sacks, five forced fumbles, an interception, and 13 defended passes.
On the outside looking in, the Giants got two potential stars. Now, the rookies need to get to work and prove it on the field.
