Isaiah Crosby, a junior college safety who played at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas this past season, announced on social media on Tuesday that he has committed to Cal.
Interestingly, one of the finalists for Crosby's services was Texas Tech, which is Cal's opponent in Saturday's Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Utah, Washington State, SMU, North Carolina State and Houston were among the many schools that offered the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Crosby before he chose Cal.
Crosby visited Cal on Sunday, Dec. 10, and Crosby jumped at the offer, committing to the Golden Bears just two days later.
Crosby is from Manor, Texas, giving the Bears another player from the Lone Star State. He attended Trinity Valley Community College, which is located in Athens, Texas.
This season as a sophomore, Crosby intercepted five passes and recorded 41 tackles in nine games. As a freshman in 2022, Crosby had 23 tackles and an interception.
