Cold Hearts 98, Blue Checks 93
Jelly Fam finally got their revenge, taking down the City Reapers 77-73 in an overtime thriller. After losing to the Reapers by three in their meeting last week, Jelly Fam came into this game focused and with a purpose leading to a scrappy overtime victory that gave them their third win of the season. Yandel German continues to be the most underrated player the league has to offer, putting up another absurd stat line of 25 points, six assists, four rebounds and four steals, as he is now in sole possession of the second most steals in a career with 93
In overtime it was TJ Wal, the team’s leading scorer on the season, who hit the game-winner, knocking down a three from the wing on a beautiful pass from German. Julian Desir put together a monster 17 point, 14 rebound double-double while also registering a game-high four blocks. In Torrey Brooks Jr.’s first game in a Jelly Fam jersey he made quite the impact, notching 14 points, three assists and two boards while playing the most minutes on the team
For the City Reapers, Jeremy Jenkins is an absolute double-double machine, logging his third straight double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds while also making a massive impact on defense with three steals and two blocks. Blaze Johnson did what he could to get the dub for the Reapers, knocking down the game tying free throw in regulation as part of a 16 point and six rebound night
The Cold Hearts survived another furious comeback attempt from the Blue Checks, coming up with the 98-93 win to push their win streak to four. Just like on Monday night, the Cold Hearts held a 19 point lead in the first half and the Blue Checks came all the way back, holding a five point lead of their own in the fourth quarter at one point. However, Adam Oumniddoch came up in the clutch to give the Cold Hearts the win, finishing the evening with 32 points and seven boards ✅
Anderson Diaz continues to cement his superstar status as he rounded out the night with 29 points, eight assists and eight boards as he pushes his way closer and closer to the top of the MVP race. Caleb Ourgiou owned the paint, pulling down 14 boards and swatting four shots in a dominant showing
For the Blue Checks, new Ole Miss commit, Yohance Connor, was an animal, scoring 31 points and registering five steals on a night where he had to do it all for his squad. Also showing out was Dream Tryout attendee Santonio Waide, who in his second game with the Blue Checks recorded 19 points and four assists
