Jeremiyah Love Makes Career Decision on Thursday

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish fell short of a College Football Playoff appearance in 2025. After going 10-2, the team opted out of the Pop-Tarts Bowl. It's the first time Notre Dame hasn't appeared in a bowl game since 2016.

It marks a disappointing end to running back Jeremiyah Love's career with the Fighting Irish. After the season ended, he declared for the 2026 NFL Draft despite having another year of eligibility.

Over the past three seasons, he's rushed for 2,882 yards and 36 touchdowns on 433 carries. His most productive year was 2025 with 1,372 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. He finished in third place for Heisman Trophy voting.

As he prepares for the next phase of his football career, the running back is faced with a handful of decisions. In a joint Instagram post on Thursday, Love announced he's signed with Athletes First. It's a management firm for players, coaches, personnel and broadcasters.

Welcome to the Family, @jeremiyahlove  #GoIrish x #A1Family Presented by @experian," the Instagram post read.

Love joins an impressive group of players to join Athletes First. That includesGreen Bay Packers QB Jordan Love, Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert, Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry and Detroit Lions OT Penei Sewell.

The Notre Dame product isn't expected to last long once the draft begins on April 23. In Daniel Jeremiah's recent mock draft for NFL.com, he has Love going to the New Orleans Saints with the No. 8 pick.

If that becomes a reality, Spotrac lists that Love may earn a rookie contract worth $31.3 million.
