Late Saturday night, the sports world exploded as the most shocking NBA trade in league history took place.
The Los Angeles Lakers are among the most prominent sports clubs in the entire world. They also happen to have LeBron James -- arguably the best player of all time -- on their team.
Now, the Lakers have added Luka Doncic, a 25-year-old franchise superstar, in a trade from the Dallas Mavericks, the new home of Anthony Davis.
When ESPN's Shams Charania announced the trade, many were questioning whether the NBA insider was hacked -- that's how absurd the move was.
Again, the trade made waves outside of the NBA world. NFL fans were in on the reactions, and even ESPN's Adam Schefter had to get in on the reaction.
Schefter tried to pull old NFL trades that might be as hectic, though none quite sounded as massive as the Doncic move. Instead, he drew up a hypothetical Joe Burrow trade that was the "NFL equivalent" trade.
"An NFL equivalent: the Ravens trading Lamar Jackson+ to the Bengals in exchange for Joe Burrow+ — in the middle of the season," Schefter shared on X.

In the scenario, the Bengals trade their young franchise quarterback for Lamar Jackson, a two-time MVP winner who could win the trophy for the third time in his career.
The trade goes much deeper than that, though. The Baltimore Ravens are a divisional rival of the Bengals' and they'd be swapping quarterbacks mid-season.
It'd be quite a groundbreaking move across the NFL landscape.
