JUCO DB commits to Alabama

Nick Sherman has announced a commitment to Alabama.

Sherman is originally from Tuscaloosa. He is a product of Northridge High School, which is just a few miles from the campus of the University of Alabama. His Alabama career gets rolling soon as he has already signed with the Crimson Tide.

The opportunity to play for the Tide is a dream come true for the Alabama native.

“I grew up here,” Sherman told Touchdown Alabama. “It was always a dream to come here. That A just means more. It’s about the team, not an individual. It’s the ability to be able to play for something greater than yourself.”

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound defensive back had 24 tackles, a sack and two interceptions in eight games as a sophomore for Itawamba Community College. He showed an ability to be a physical defensive back, who has no problem with coming downhill to help in run support. He also showed he is very comfortable in man coverage.
