Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers congratulated former UConn Huskies teammate Kamorea Arnold for getting recognized for her efforts at a basketball training camp by WNBA’s Kelsey Plum.

In a post on Instagram , incoming UConn Huskies junior Kamore Arnold showcased her participation and recognition at the DAWG Class, hosted by Los Angeles Sparks point guard Kelsey Plum. Plum’s prestigious 2025 Dawg Class. This elite training camp, hosted in partnership with Under Armour, is designed to help college basketball stars transition to the professional level. Arnold earned the title for her relentless attitude, energy, and leadership throughout the camp, embodying the “Dawg mentality” that Plum emphasizes.

Her performance was so impressive that the decision to name her Top Dawg was unanimous among the camp organizers.

Instead of a traditional trophy, Arnold received an iced-out dog bone necklace as a symbol of her achievement. She accepted the honor while wearing a camp shirt that read, “The Hungry Dawg Hunts Best,” reflecting her fierce spirit on and off the court.

Plum praised Arnold for being “unbelievable” from start to finish, highlighting her impact not just in basketball but also in her overall approach and demeanor during the camp.

This recognition comes after a successful season for Arnold, where she played a key role in UConn’s national championship victory, which they won with Paige Bueckers in her last season with the team. As she prepares to lead the Huskies in their quest for back-to-back titles, the Top Dawg honor serves as a testament to her growing influence and potential as a future professional star.

Paige Bueckers Gets Praise From WNBA GM

In an interview with ESPN, one anonymous WNBA GM made their opinion on Paige Bueckers known, particularly with how high they think her basketball IQ is.

“She understands the game. Her IQ is very high. She comes from a winning program, and all that stuff translates when you have multiple tools like she does,” the GM said. “She could be 1-for-9 from the field but have eight assists. Most people can’t flip the switch.

“When you have multiple skills like she does, it allows you to assimilate faster.”
