Justin Bieber Sends Strong Message After Maple Leafs’ Game 7 Loss

Justin Bieber, a two-time Grammy winner and Ontario native, has been a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Now 31, he’s spent years watching the team fall short — their last Stanley Cup win came all the way back in 1967, well before he was born.

This season, however, felt different. The Leafs won the Atlantic Division for the first time in franchise history and made it to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs — only the second time this core group has done so.

They faced the Florida Panthers and jumped out to a 2–0 lead in the best-of-seven series. But Florida stormed back to win three straight before Toronto forced a Game 7. That deciding game was played Sunday night at Scotiabank Arena, and Bieber made sure not to miss it.

He was seated directly behind the Leafs' bench with his wife, Hailey Bieber. While there was plenty of excitement in the air before puck drop, the night ended on a rough note as Florida blew out Toronto 6–1.

After the game, Bieber took to social media to post a few photos and share a message. Despite the loss, he expressed pride in how far the team had come this season and said he’s staying patient, believing this core group can eventually get over the hump.

"I don’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t been obsessed with the leafsssss," Bieber said. "This year we made it farther than we have in so long and im happy about thatI can be patient cuz I know this is the team to do it."

The Panthers now advance to their third consecutive Eastern Conference Final, where they’ll face the Carolina Hurricanes. As for the Leafs, their season comes to an end with plenty of questions looming this offseason.

It starts with Mitch Marner and John Tavares — two members of their core four — who are set to become free agents.
