Every so often, something special comes along. The Minnesota Vikings know that all too well, especially at the wide receiver position.

When they selected Randy Moss at 21st overall in the 1998 NFL Draft, he made the Vikings must-watch over the next seven seasons along with shaping the National Football League as we know it today. He was the start of the pass happy era of the NFL, so much so the Green Bay Packers used their first three picks in 1999 to try and stop him.

As unlikely as it may have seemed, the Vikings got another generational wide receiver less than 30 years later in Justin Jefferson and he did something that Moss did that has the fanbase excited.

Justin Jefferson and Anthony Edwards recreate iconic cover

In March of 2000, Moss and former Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Kevin Garnett posed for a photo that has now become lore for the state of Minnesota. It was the two biggest stars the state had arguably ever had together in one shot.

Since the emergence of both Jefferson and current Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards, fans wanted them to recreate that photo. On Tuesday, the long rumored ESPN The Magazine cover was revealed and it's a fantastic update of the original.

Some things have changed. Jefferson with his classic snarl and diamond stud earrings are the biggest changes from the original, but it's also what makes it so great. Jefferson and Edwards may be recreating the original, but putting their own spin on it was also important to make it their own.

Fans of a new generation will now have their own picture to enjoy for the next 25+ years until the next duo of superstars comes around, and it rocks.
