The once token grom of TGR films, Kai Jones is all grown up and dropping film segments to prove it.
It's no secret that the Jackson Hole bred skier has always displayed incredible amounts of talent and discipline as an athlete. However, as he's gotten older and his ski career widened beyond just the front of his dad's lens, Jones has had the chance to ski alongside some of the best in the sport.
As a result, he's come into his own style that's been influenced by the likes of Sammy Carlson, Colby Stevenson, and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, to name a few, but with Jones' own powerful and precise twist on it.
In his latest project with Red Bull Snow, Jones' prowess as a skier can be seen on everything from big mountain lines, to pillows, to sleeper zones in his backyard range. His versatility as an athlete is clearly evident, as is his hardworking nature.

Two winters ago, Jones was injured in an accident in the backcountry when a line gone wrong broke both of his legs. He endured multiple surgeries, several months of being completely unable to walk, and an overall grueling recovery. ORIGIN is Jones' proof not just to himself, but the world, that he's back and he's even stronger than before his injury.
"This video part means a lot to me. After getting hurt two years ago, I was motivated to get back to the sport I love. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into this project to prove to myself that I could come back from my injury. I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out. Huge thanks to everyone who helped me along the way," said Jones in a social media post.
If the story of a young athlete's perseverance isn't enough to get you to watch, surely the promise of five minutes of big mountain shredding, complete with a Red Bull helmet, baggy kit steeze, and Sammy C-style Metallica soundtrack, will do it for you.
