They’re both in a bowl game, but the winner can still have CFP dreams with a win in the Big 12 title game, too - if it can get in.

Kansas State needs to win, and needs Arizona State to lose to Arizona and BYU has to lose to Houston. So, basically, the Wildcats are out without a miracle.

If Iowa State can win, it’s probably playing Arizona State. All the Cyclones have to do is win this, and it’s in the Big 12 title game if Arizona, BYU, or West Virginia gets a win.

Kansas State has to hold up against the Iowa State running game.

The Cyclones don’t have to run to win - the offense is balanced - but keep it to under four yards per pop and there’s a shot.

At home in the cold - both teams will be okay with it - Iowa State’s pass defense will hold up, the ground attack will be just effective enough to control the clock, and …

It won’t be enough. The Wildcat pass rush will take over in the second half, and there won’t be the turnovers necessary for the Cyclones to pull this off. Kansas State is 1-3 when turning it over multiple times, and Iowa State hasn’t force multiple takeaways in a month.
