At UFC 319, undefeated superstar Khamzat Chimaev stunned the MMA world by capturing the middleweight championship with an incredible performance. He dominated former champion Dricus Du Plessis with his wrestling and controlled the fight throughout to win via unanimous decision.

On the same night, his teammate Baisangur Susurkaev made a successful UFC debut, earning a hard-fought preliminary card victory against Eric Nolan. Susurkaev displayed exceptional resilience after getting wobbled in the first round to secure a submission victory over Nolan, and is now training diligently for his upcoming return.

Looking ahead, UFC 322, expected to take place at the legendary Madison Square Garden, is generating massive anticipation among fight fans. Recently, Susurkaev posted an Instagram story tagging Dana White, hinting strongly at his potential inclusion in the exciting fight card.

Baisangur Susurkaev is a close training partner of Khamzat Chimaev, earned his UFC deal after beating Murtaza Talha. He delivered a stunning first-round TKO, finishing with a crushing body kick that highlighted his incredible striking skills and knockout capability. Impressed by the dominant performance, UFC CEO Dana White quickly offered him a spot on the UFC 319 fight card.

After his win at UFC 319, Susurkaev called out Bo Nickal, confidently stating he would dominate and finish him inside two rounds. He claimed round one would be playful before ending things in round two, showing extreme belief in his grappling and striking superiority. Nickal, an All-American wrestler, is eager to bounce back after suffering a tough loss against Reinier de Ridder

This matchup builds an exciting narrative since Nickal’s rivalry with Chimaev makes fighting Susurkaev a perfect storyline. The middleweight champion expressed pride in his teammate, revealing they completed the entire training camp together and shared intense sparring sessions throughout.

The ‘Borz’ predicted Susurkaev would earn a UFC contract and dominate opponents using his versatile skill set and relentless fighting style. Similarly, the newly crowned middleweight champion also announced plans to return to the octagon later this year.

Khamzat Chimaev gets a callout from the UFC light heavyweight champion

Khamzat Chimaev has enjoyed a dominant UFC title reign, demolishing world-class opponents with unmatched grappling and vicious ground control consistently. His relentless wrestling, combined with dangerous striking, makes him a nightmare for any opponent and fuels discussions about his multi-division dominance.

Previously, Chimaev had expressed interest in moving up, specifically targeting former light heavyweight king Alex Pereira , believing wrestling could nullify Pereira’s striking. However, the light heavyweight division changed dramatically when Magomed Ankalaev defeated Pereira. In a recent interview, Ankalaev talked about potentially fighting Chimaev and shared his honest thoughts of the Russian fighter.

I’m still in this division. If someone wants to move up and test my weight class, I always say ‘Welcome’. If he moves up, he moves up. No problem.

Currently, Khamzat Chimaev is a prime target, with top contenders eyeing opportunities to dethrone the undefeated phenom. Sean Strickland and Paulo Costa have already issued bold callouts, expressing strong interest in challenging Chimaev for the middleweight championship belt.

Dana White recently confirmed major middleweight contender matchups, which will determine the next top challenger for Chimaev’s highly anticipated future title defense. On the other hand, Ankalaev is set for a highly anticipated title rematch against Alex Pereira at UFC 320.

Ankalaev enters the fight as the betting favorite, showcasing confidence in his ability to neutralize Pereira’s striking power with superior grappling. He believes his calculated approach and defensive skills will allow him to dominate Pereira, securing another decisive victory to retain gold.
