Kings HC Mike Brown Reveals The Support He Has Received

The Sacramento Kings have a new coach in current Golden State Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown.

Of course, this won’t be Brown’s first time coaching a team.

He previously led the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.

As coach of the Cavs, Brown was even awarded the NBA Coach of the Year.

But he’s been an assistant coach for a few years now so seeing him return to the top job for a team is a big deal.

And he’s been joyfully welcomed back by his peers.

Brown says that he’s received “league-wide support” after accepting the HC position in Sacramento.

That’s great to hear and Brown will need to take all that goodwill and convert it into good luck because he’s got a tough job cut out for him.

Breaking The Kings’ Curse

Anyone who takes on the head coach position for the Kings needs support and respect.

That’s because it’s one of the hardest jobs in the entire NBA.

The Kings are currently in the midst of the longest playoff drought in league history.

They have been through so many coaches and roster lineups over the years and yet nothing has stuck.

In fact, the last time the Kings were in the playoffs some of the players currently on their payroll weren’t even born.

Brown has been tasked with changing that.

It sounds cliche to say but Brown really does have a better chance than previous coaches to turn things around.

That’s because the team recently underwent some changes and has serious potential right now.

Now it’s up to Brown to tap into that potential and make something work – finally.
