Kyle Hamilton Fined, Suspension Coming?
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton received a fine for his actions in a win against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday.

Hamilton was fined for a hit he delivered to the head of Titans wide receiver Chris Moore that led to the safety being ejected from the game. After the hit, Moore was shaken up and wobbly, and had to be helped to the locker room. When Hamilton was ejected from the game, he was visibly upset on the sideline, obviously not agreeing with the decision.

The fine for the unnecessary roughness was $20,524 and the league cited the helmet to helmet hit as the reason.

He finished the game with only one tackle recorded and no other statistics, his worst performance in an otherwise great start to the season. After his ejection, there was some speculation that a suspension could possibly be on the way for the hit to the head on a defenseless receiver. However, the fine is the only punishment being levied down to Hamilton.

Through six games, he has recorded 25 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception and two passes defended. Hamilton has been flying around the field on defense for the Ravens, finally showing off the ability that they drafted him with the No. 14 overall pick for in the 2022 Draft out of Notre Dame.

Hamilton will be available this Sunday with Baltimore playing host to the 5-1 Detroit Lions and their high-powered passing offense. The Lions have the fourth-most passing yards per game in the league with 259.5.
