For the third year in a row, Angel Reese was honored at the BET Awards Show.

Reese, a national champion and WNBA All-Star, was named BET Sportswoman of the Year for the third straight time. She's the first athlete to win this award three times since Serena Williams.

There were plenty of notable nominees for BET Sportswoman of the Year, including Simone Biles, Coco Gauff, Sha'Carri Richardson and A'ja Wilson. And yet, it was Reese who came out on top.

Another nominee for this award was legendary boxer Claressa Shields. The two-time Olympic medalist holds a plethora of records and world titles.

Shields made it clear she's not thrilled about losing out on BET Sportswoman of the Year.

"Still don’t know how I didn’t win the Sportswoman of the Year for the @BETAwards but Congrats to Angel Reese and all the other Nominees I just thought accolades mattered," Shields wrote on X this Tuesday.

One social media user pointed out that Reese has plenty of accolades on her résumé.

That led to Shields responding, "Yes she does but who has more accolades…. More success in their field. Please use google before responding."

A few posts later, Shields clarified that she has nothing against Reese. She simply had an issue with the way this award was voted on.

"Ain’t nobody saying Angel Reese don’t have accolades or she not good…. I’m saying I thought the person with “THE MOST” accolades & accomplishments would win the Award," she said. "I’m team Angel Reese!"

Do you think Shields got her point across with her comments about Reese?
