Legendary Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano.

According to Ansa via FCInter1908, pneumonia forced the 80-year-old into hospitalization.

Massimo Moratti celebrated his 80th birthday in May.

However, his long-standing smoking habit may have contributed to his vulnerability to respiratory illnesses.

Therefore, he is currently in intensive care in a hospital in Milan, suffering from breathing difficulties.

Moratti was unable to breathe autonomously, prompting doctors to intubate and put him into intensive care.

Indeed, he is at the Istituto Humanitas di Rozzano hospital. Luckily, doctors are confident his condition is not currently critical.

Hopefully, with careful monitoring and treatment, he will make a full recovery.

One of the most iconic presidents in Serie A history, Moratti won 16 trophies during his tenure at San Siro.

He took over ownership from Ernesto Pellegrini in 1995 before selling the club to Erick Tohir in 2013.

Furthermore, he oversaw Inter’s legendary treble in 2010 under Jose Mourinho.
