Lewis Dodd may no longer be with the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The former Saint Helen's halfback’s time at the Sydney Rabbitohs may come to an end after being advised to start looking for other options.

Former England front row forward James Graham has urged Dodd’s management to look for a new club. The former St. Helens halfback Dodd moved to a Sydney club at the end of the 2024 season, which was announced months before the new year with the appointment of veteran coach Wayne Bennett.

It was expected at that time that the young half would partner with Cody Walker. However, the Souths have since signed Jayden Sullivan and have even opted for Jamie Humphrey, Latrell Mitchell, and Jack Wighton over picking Dodd, who started his first NRL game at the Magic Weekend after two appearances from the bench.

“I think the writing is on the wall for Lewis Dodd at Souths. They had Walker and Humphreys not available, who seem to be the starting choice. For me, I think his management really needs to look at who needs a seven. I don’t want to see him leave the NRL. I’m just thinking, could he play six because Kristian Woolf knows him well and was interested in him when Souths signed him," said Graham in a press conference.

Dodd is not the only Englishman playing in Australia who has doubts about his future, with Dom Young expected to leave the Sydney Roosters this week after falling out of favor.

Journalist Brent Read believes another option could open up for Dodd, one at former Saints coach Kristin.

High chances are that the winger will return to his old club, Newcastle Knights.
