Hamilton kept it short, simple, and fitting for a moment fans have long waited for, writing just one word: “Legend,” echoing the sentiment shared by millions who grew up watching Cruise redefine action cinema.

The Oscar win marks a milestone in an iconic career that spans Top Gun, Mission: Impossible, and some of the most influential action films of the last few decades.

While the simple tribute says it all, Hamilton’s admiration for the actor isn’t new. The pair have maintained a friendly relationship over the years, with Cruise even attending F1 races and publicly supporting the British driver during key championship battles.

Their mutual respect and shared love for pushing boundaries made Hamilton’s reaction feel personal, not just celebratory.

Lewis Hamilton on Future Hollywood Projects

The Ferrari driver, who co-produced the F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt, through his company Dawn Apollo Films, has said the experience sparked a new passion for storytelling outside the world of racing.

Consequently, Hamilton now plans to build on that success with a quality-driven approach that mirrors the style of renowned filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. "It’s not about doing lots and lots of projects, it’s more like Quentin Tarantino does it, quality rather than quantity," he stated.

Talking about his future Hollywood projects, the 40-year-old driver said, “We need inspirational stories out there, given the dark times we live in. I love comedy, and I’ve got a particular idea for a television show. I’m working on a couple of animation movie ideas.”

With F1: The Movie earning $631 million worldwide (and still counting), Lewis Hamilton’s creative journey is only gaining momentum. Now driven by a desire to tell meaningful, uplifting stories, he’s exploring everything from animation to comedy and drama, setting the stage for a Hollywood chapter that aims to be just as bold and ambitious as his F1 career.
