Lindy La Rocque named Mid-Season Watchlist

UNLV Lady Rebels coach Lindy La Rocque was named to the mid-season Kathy Delaney-Smith watchlist.

La Rocque is the only Mountain West coach named to the watchlist. The watchlist includes coaches from seven conferences.

She has been named one of 10 coaches on the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year midseason presented by Her Hoop Stats.

The announcement was made Wednesday.

La Rocque is in her fifth season as the coach of the Lady Rebels with an overall record of 117-26. She has the third-highest win percentage (.823) of coaches who has coached five seasons or less with their teams.

The Lady Rebels are currently 16-4 this season and remain in the top spot In the Mountain West conference at 8-0.

La Rocque has led the Lady Rebels to back-to-back 30 or more wins seasons, making it a first for the program.

She also led the Lady Rebels to three straight Mountain West regular season and tournament titles, a first in the conference.

The Lady Rebels were picked to win their fourth regular season title in the conference polls and expected to remain undefeated in Mountain West play.

This is the second season of this specific award. The award is named after the former legendary Harvard head coach.
