Look: ESPN's Football Power Index Gives Bearcats Solid Shot of Ending Losing Season Streak

  ESPN has unveiled its Football Power Index for the 2025 season and Cincinnati is ranked 53rd on the metric among all FBS teams.

The model gives Cincinnati a 66.7% chance to end its two-year streak of no bowl appearances to start the Scott Satterfield era, but just a 2.8% chance to win the Big 12 conference and punch a ticket into the College Football Playoff.

UC should be able to hit that first goal with a modicum of solid health this fall. The new practice facility may work wonders on that front when it comes to getting players back on the field faster than at any other time during the 2020s.
