Look for a huge game from Luka Doncic, and for Dallas to force a Game 7

We've reached an inflection point in the postseason action where we will either be gifted Game 7s or watch as a team advances to the next round. The NBA and NHL Playoffs have both been a treat up to this point, with quality series loaded with stars, and Thursday's slate is no different.

Suns and Heat can advance today - Both Phoenix and Miami are coming off blowout victories at home in Game 5 to get within one win of closing out their respective series. We like the Heat to finish off Philly, particularly with Joel Embiid hobbled. In the West, there's something about an angry narrative that catches our eye. Don't be surprised if Luka Doncic comes out as a man possessed tonight with Dallas forcing a Game 7. We'll be taking Miami (+115) and Dallas (+110) to take home the wins tonight.

First round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs nears the finish line - There are four hockey games tonight, and it's do-or-die time for four teams. The Boston-Carolina series has seen nothing but home winners, with the Bruins offense coming alive in both previous games thus far. We like that to continue and will opt to ride Boston in Game 6 at -130. One series we do see ending tonight is the Oilers and Kings. While a surprise to some, Los Angeles has dictated the pace this series, pouring on 40 shots per game against Edmonton. Back at home and up 3-2, bet on the Kings to close out the series at +125.

In other news ...

Byron Nelson Classic tees off today - While the PGA Championship inches closer, we have one more PGA Tour event to get to. Scottie Scheffler headlines the group at the Byron Nelson Classic, hitting the course for the first time since his Masters win. Scheffler is the top-ranked golfer in the world and has won his past two tournaments. We like Justin Thomas this weekend, who has the second-best odds to win at +1000.

Sidney Crosby hurt in Game 5 - With a chance to advance to the next round, the Pittsburgh Penguins were issued a tough blow in the second period while leading 2-0 against the Rangers. Captain Sidney Crosby was forced out of the game, and New York stormed back to win 5-3. If the head injury keeps Crosby off the ice, it may be a good time to consider a bet on the Rangers to win the series. New York is currently +180 to come back from down 3-1 in the series.

Bucks' massive comeback flips series odds - The Eastern Conference battle between Boston and Milwaukee has been terrific, with the Bucks the latest to mount a fourth-quarter comeback to steal a pivotal Game 5. Just like that, Milwaukee is the resounding favorite to win Game 6 and advance to the next round, with odds at -240 to win the series. We're not convinced this series doesn't go seven games. Pounce on the Celtics to win the series at +200 while you can.
