The Los Angeles Rams have wrapped up the 2025 preseason with a 2-1 record, dropping their last game to the Cleveland Browns 19-17.
With roster cuts just around the corner, who are the players most likely to earn a spot on the Rams' initial practice squad?
Keep in mind that NFL practice squad eligibility rules state that 10 of the 16 spots have to go to rookie or second-year players, something the Rams have in spades.
I'm predicting both Ronnie Rivers and Cody Schrader to make the practice squad. The Rams have loved both of them, and Schrader sat on the 53 for most of last season. However, the addition of Jarquez Hunter shuts that roster spot down. Given Kyren Williams' injury history and the special teams flexibility of these two backs, I'd expect the Rams to try to keep at least one of them on the PS.
Brennan Presley had a tremendous preseason, proving to be a reliable explosive threat. Drake Stoops was a reliable target and has the mentality the Rams covet and should stick around for another season on the practice squad.
Drake Stoops gets us on the board!!

I'm not quite sure how many offensive linemen the Rams will elect to keep, but given the injury concerns for both Alaric Jackson and DJ Humphries, I'd expect them to keep some tackles in reserve on the practice squad.
If Larrell Murchison doesn't land on the 53-man roster, he should be one of the veterans on the practice squad just to add some proven insurance depth.
I am predicting the Rams keep their pass rush stacked on the practice squad. Brennan Jackson still had some strong moments throughout the preseason and has enough in his profile that the Rams should keep investing in him. Both Jamil Muhammad and Josh Pearcy ended the preseason on a high note and were productive enough to warrant continued investment.
B-JACK SACK!!

Elias Neal wore the green dot for game three and was tremendous, but the Rams are fairly stacked at inside linebacker. He would be good insurance to keep around if someone goes down.
The Rams should keep the cornerback position stacked on the practice squad, given their lack of proven ability there. Keep as many options available as you can.
Tanner Ingle was tremendous all preseason, but he fell victim to the numbers game in my roster prediction. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a frequent call-up in the regular season.
