The Los Angeles Rams moved out of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, taking a massive haul from the Atlanta Falcons to trade into the second round, picking up a first-rounder in the 2026 NFL Draft.
With the Rams not making any picks in round one, the team still has plenty of needs left to address in the rest of the 2025 NFL Draft. What should be their top priority on Day Two?
This was arguably the Rams' biggest need of the draft, and they didn't take one in the first round. Popular mock draft selection Maxwell Hairston was selected after they traded back, but names like Shavon Revel Jr and Will Johnson are still on the board heading into round two.
The Rams need to add depth to their linebacker room and find a true playmaker in the middle of their defense. Alabama's Jihaad Campbell was taken after their pick, but every other linebacker in the draft is still on the board.
Throughout the offseason, wide receiver was another popular mock draft selection for the Rams here, and it still needs to be addressed, preferably early on Day Two. Players like Luther Burden III, Jaylin Noel, Tory Horton, and Jack Bech are all still available for the Rams and make a ton of sense for their offense.
Dianna Russini reported that the Rams trade to make a trade up to select Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, but the asking price was too high. Expecting this to be a fairly high-priority pick here tomorrow.
Two offensive tackles that were frequently mocked to the Rams went after they traded back. After re-signing Alaric Jackson, tackle dropped in priority, but the Rams should still add a developmental swing tackle option here in the draft. We'll see when they aim to do this.
The top tight ends are off the board, and both of whom were prospects the Rams loved. How they view the rest of the class is to be determined, but it's clear that they want another playmaker in this room at some point in the draft.
The Rams traded away their shot at Shedeur Sanders and/or Jalen Milroe in the first round of the draft, which might point to them not being interested in a quarterback early on. Still, it seems a decent bet they will draft one at some point in the draft to compete with Stetson Bennett.
