Louisville Unveils Spring Schedule for Men’s Tennis

The University of Louisville men’s tennis team has their sights set on a challenging spring season as head coach Rodrigo da Silva releases the 2024 spring schedule. The Cardinals will be facing off against some fierce competition, with 12 NCAA Tournament teams from last season on their schedule, including reigning national champions Virginia, and two Elite Eight teams in Kentucky and Harvard.

Louisville will kick off their season at home with two matches on January 17. They will first take on regional rivals Xavier in a highly anticipated showdown, followed by a crosstown matchup against Bellarmine.

The team will then hit the road to face Northwestern on January 21, marking their first away match of the season. Shortly after, they will head to Columbia, S.C. for the ITA Kickoff weekend. On January 27, they will go head-to-head against LSU, and on January 28, they will face either South Carolina or Clemson.

Louisville will return home on February 2 for a highly anticipated match against their in-state rivals, Kentucky. After that, they will enjoy a nine-match home streak, including a face-off against the formidable Harvard team on February 11. They will also begin ACC play on March 1 against Florida State.

From March 10 through March 17, the Cardinals will hit the road once again for matches against Middle Tennessee, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. They will then come back home to continue conference play against Wake Forest on March 22 and NC State on March 24. Additionally, they will have a matchup with Tennessee State on the latter date.

As the month of March comes to a close, Louisville will embark on a trip east to take on Duke and North Carolina during the last weekend. They will then conclude their home slate with matches against Clemson on April 5 and Georgia Tech on April 7. The team’s regular season will wrap up with away matches against Notre Dame on April 10 and Boston College on April 14.

The ACC Championships will be held from April 17-21 in Cary, N.C., where the Cardinals will undoubtedly showcase their skills and compete against some of the best teams in the conference. The NCAA Selection Show will take place on April 29, where Louisville will eagerly await their postseason fate.
