LSU Baseball may be preparing for their upcoming Super Regional, but that doesn't make them immune to early transfer portal losses. Despite their season still rolling on, the Tigers have suffered five transfer portal casualties thus far, with more expected to come as we get deeper into the portal cycle.
Here are the five players who have entered the portal:
Dorsey transferred to LSU this past offseason, but only made five appearances in 2025. He threw 5.0 innings where he gave up three runs on eight hits, posting a 5.40 ERA.
Redshirt junior who transferred to LSU from Meridian CC. Made 13 appearances and took seven at bats where he did not reach base and struck out three times.
No. 79 player in the 2024 class. Made 12 appearances, mostly as a defensive replacement. Took two at bats and reached base on a walk. Stole one base.
Ranked No. 32 freshman by Perfect Game before the season. Made 15 appearances and took eight at bats, but wasn't able to record a hit. Drew four walks and scored three runs.
No. 3 SS in the 2024 class. Two way player, but only appeared on the mound for LSU. Made one appearance, throwing 0.1 innings in a loss to Northwestern, giving up one hit.
None of these players would've made an impact in the postseason, so it will be interesting to see what big names enter once the Tigers' season is over.
