On Friday, LSU gymnast and social media sensation Livvy Dunne will issue the Riders Up command for the 2025 Kentucky Oaks, which is the top race for three-year-old fillies. This marks the 151st edition of this prestigious event.
Joining Livvy at the event will be gymnastics superstar and Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles.
Celebrating its 151st year, the Longines Kentucky Oaks is the premier race for 3-year-old fillies in the United States. Along with a substantial purse, the winner also receives the iconic 'Lilies for the Fillies' garland.
Furthermore, Oaks Day raises awareness for ovarian breast cancer, encouraging attendees to wear pink in support of this vital cause. Before the race, there is also the Survivors Parade which raises money for the Norton Cancer Institute Survivors and the Horses and Hope of the Kentucky Cancer Program.
It’s been a busy week for Livvy who has been in Los Angeles cheering on boyfriend Paul Skenes, while feasting on Dodger Dogs, in his series against the World Series Champions.
She also recently shot a commercial for Raising Canes on a new campaign designed to create more endorsement possibilities for young women. She told WBRZ News, “I’ve said no to so many opportunities because of gymnastics throughout the years so my plans after college are to do everything…That’s something that I feel very strongly about and I hope that’s the legacy I leave at LSU…You can be more than a student athlete, you can be a savvy businesswoman and entrepreneur.”
Olivia Dunne also created the Livvy Fund which is designed to fund NIL opportunities for female student athletes.
