There’s a new release date for M3GAN 2.0.
The sequel to 2022’s surprise horror hit, which follows an AI-enhanced robot doll with murder on its mind, was originally set to launch January 17, 2025.
Production company Universal has pushed it back by four months to May 16, 2025, giving the film a summer release.
Original stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw both reprise their roles, while M3GAN screenwriter Akela Cooper is also penning the sequel.
M3GAN grossed a reported $181 million on a budget of just $12 million, so a sequel was greenlit shortly after release. While there’s over a year to wait, Peacock subscribers can catch a gorier extended cut.
Meanwhile Sydney Sweeney stars in a new horror film, Immaculate, from Neon.
