Major League Cricket (MLC) has officially announced the relocation of its headquarters to Grand Prairie, Texas.
As part of this strategic move, Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium has been designated to host key events in the upcoming 2025 season. The venue will not only stage 12 regular-season matches over 10 days but will also serve as the site for the MLC Playoffs and Championship Final.
"We’re delighted to continue making Grand Prairie the home of Cognizant Major League Cricket,” said Johnny Grave, MLC CEO. We will continue to enhance the stadium to host top-tier international events."
From June 20 to 29, the stadium will welcome all six MLC teams, including internationally renowned players such as Rashid Khan, Glenn Maxwell, and Faf Du Plessis. These fixtures aim to provide fans with a robust slate of live cricket action early in the summer.
Following the initial stretch in Texas, the competition will shift to Broward County Stadium in Florida for matches scheduled from July 1 to 6. The league will then return to Grand Prairie for the playoff rounds beginning July 8, culminating in the Championship Final on July 13.
“As we launch into another exciting season of Major League Cricket, I’m thrilled the league’s headquarters will now call North Texas home, a region that represents innovation, energy, and a deep love of sports,” said Anurag Jain, Co-owner of the Texas Super Kings.
MLC, a professional Twenty20 cricket league, was launched on July 13, 2023. The league currently features six teams and will begin at the Oakland Coliseum in California, with matches running from June 12 to June 18, before transitioning to Grand Prairie and then Florida.
