Malachi Moore signs multi-million dollar deal with New York Jets

Malachi Moore has signed his rookie contract with the New York Jets.

Moore is a former Alabama defensive back and is a product of Hewitt-Trussville High School in Alabama. His contract is reportedly worth around $5.098 million.

The Jets selected Moore with the No. 130 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He shared he was excited to join the franchise after getting picked by New York.

“It definitely means something special for them to look at me and feel like I can contribute to the success of this organization,” Moore said. “I’m excited, man, I’m truly blessed.”

The Jets’ head coach Aaron Glenn has previously expressed he feels Moore could compete for a safety spot.

“Malachi being a captain, that tells what he is,” Glenn said. “He’s going to have a chance to compete for a safety spot.”
