Manchester United supporters took notice of Leny Yoro following his impressive display in the Premier League match against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Last week, the Red Devils opened their 2025-26 Premier League season with a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Even with the result, there were still positives for manager Ruben Amorim to build on from United’s performance against Arsenal.
United looked sharp going forward and had plenty of chances, even if they could not find a way past David Raya.
Mikel Arteta’s side came away with all three points from that match, with Altay Bayindir taking some criticism for his role in the goal that decided it.
After that closely contested game against Arsenal, United hit the road for their first away fixture of the new season, heading to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
Leny Yoro put in a standout display against Fulham, and it did not take long for United fans to start buzzing about it on social media.
One fan posted: “Leny Yoro oozes class, like a Rio Ferdinand regen.”
Another wrote: “Yoro [is] slowly becoming our best defender.”
A third added: “Yoro could be one of the best CBs in the world by next season, already seems adjusted to Prem [Premier League] intensity.”
Another supporter questioned: “How were we able to steal Leny Yoro from [Real] Madrid?”

Someone else suggested: “Leny Yoro will go down as our best signing post-SAF [Sir Alex Ferguson] in a few years, BTW.”
Another chipped in with: “Yoro is a generational talent, how’s he [19 years old] and playing like this? We missed out on [Raphael] Varane years [ago]. This is good compensation for us.”
“If Yoro joined Madrid two years ago, he would be the most valuable CB in the world right now,” a seventh user wrote.
Manchester United looked lively in the first half against Fulham, but missed a chance to take control when Bruno Fernandes sent a penalty over the bar.
The spot-kick was awarded after a VAR review, but Fernandes’ effort flew high, leaving United to regret the miss as the sides went into the break level.
United scored first in the second half, when Leny Yoro’s header from Bryan Mbeumo’s corner deflected in off Rodrigo Muniz.
However, Emile Smith Rowe equalised for Fulham after coming off the bench, sealing the final score.
On Wednesday, United return to action as they begin their Carabao Cup campaign at Blundell Park against League Two side Grimsby Town, with kick-off at 8pm (UK time).
